How Our Laws Are Made Infographic Poster

Client: Design For America

My Role: Information designer

When Design for America announced a $5k prize to design an infographic of how a bill becomes a law, I was laser focused. I enlisted the help of my colleauge Dr. Susan Cooper Guasco to produce this infographic poster and we took first place. The project has been reproduced in hundreds of publications and translated in 4 languages.

Carrier Interactive Infographic Mini-site

Client: PBS / Interactive Knowledge

My Role: UX/ UI Designer/Developer

To promote PBS’s hit reality series, Carrier, Interactive Knowledge brought me on to bring an interactive infographic based mini-site to life. Visitors can explore ship details and watch clips of outtakes from the show.

Interactive Exhibit Design

Client: Levine Museum of the New South

My Role: Exhibit UX/UI Designer

When the museum needed a new way to show their extensive image collection they commissioned me to create an interactive touchscreen exhibit that features the museum’s unseen image archive.

Visitors to the museums permanent exhibit, Cotton fields to Skyscrapers are prompted to recompose the images like old photos on a table top into new juxtapositions by dragging and scaling digital photos across the screen. Flipping images over reveal provenance details.

Picture Yourself in History Exhibit Design

Client: Levine Museum of the New South

My Role: UX Designer

When the Levine Museum wanted to find a new way to show the many images in their archive that wouldnt fit onto the wall, they commissioned me to create an interactive greenscreen camera for Levine Museum visitors to superimpose themselves as part of the history of the New South in Charlotte. At the end of the experience, a postcard that featured the museum’s branding was sent from the exhibit space.

The Future of ECD Workshop Retreat

My Role: Graphic Facilitator

Commissioned by OpenFields and the Institute for Child Success to lead the visual/creative activities during their Future of ECD (Early Childhood Development) weekend conference. During the event, I workshopped ideation strategies with participants, supported their development, and then produced a summary infographic of all of their ideas as a take home.
